![]() The Green Man is an ancient symbol of growth and the connections between man and nature. His origins are mysterious but he has been part of British folklore for thousands of years. Grant Bradford identifies with the Green Man as a symbol of growth and continuity in creativity and craftsmanship in wood. Grant Bradford has been working with wood for as long as he can remember, his Father and Grandfather had workshops and as a child he was fascinated by the smell and sound as timber was transformed into functional and decorative objects for the home. Following four years full time training in Design and Illustration at Reigate School of Art he went on to successfully work in book publishing for a number of years. Grant also formed several partnerships to develop his experience in a wide range of design areas winning contracts with both UK and overseas clients. However he always retained his love of working with wood which he refined in the course of restoring several houses. Green Man Design has been formed to bring all this experience together to produce the distinctive products shown on this web site.
